Florin 1870 Top Cross overlaps border beads, ESC 836, Bull 2870, Davies 752 dies 3B, Die Number 15, Choice UNC grey toned over original lustre, a superb example of this scarce date, Ex-London Coins Auction A124 Lot 340, Ex-Roland Harris Collection, where it is stated that it is Ex-PCGS MS65. and surely one of only a tiny number of choice mint state survivors. Collectors of the Gothic Florin series will appreciate the true rarity of choice pieces in this series. Any that achieve grades 80 and above would grace any choice Victorian Florin collection.
