Misc Items Balance scales (2) the first by F.J.Thornton, Colchester, Class B, to weigh 8oz., (c.1950) comes with a set of 6 weights: 100 grammes, 50 grammes, 20 grammes (2), 10 grammes and 5 grammes, the second by Johnsons of Hendon incomplete, no weighing pan, comes with 4oz. and 2oz. weights, along with sets of brass weights for weighing scales (3) all 'nested' sets the first set with 5 pieces: 1lb. 8oz. 4oz. 2oz. and 1oz., the second with 4 pieces, 1lb., 8oz. 4oz. and 2oz. by J.Blackshaw, Barrow, the third with 6 pieces 16oz. Troy, 8oz. 4oz. 2oz. 1oz. all in good second-hand condition, and a further set (c.1960s) on a round brass base with 7 weights 1lb down, with series of number and letters inscribed on the bases, this also in good second-hand condition, with an assortment of further weights (one in Troy measurement), and pieces from balance scales, a small blank and a miner's tally check, octagonal with central hole, inscribed BDW 229, Fine, only - No postal
