Medal/ The of Louis d'Aumont and Louise-Je de Durfort de Duras 33mm diameter in silver in octagonal form, by -Joseph Lorthior (1733-1813), 16.66 grammes, a 19th Century restrike of the 1747 original. Obverse: A crowned and mantled conjoined coats-of-arms; all within ornate frame / Three putti decorating an ornate oval shield with a chain of flowers; shield inscribed with a script MD (for d’Aumont and Mazarin) cypher; pair of doves perched on top of shield; LORTHIOR ·· F ·· below, all within ornate frame. Edge: cornucopia and ARGENT. Feuardent 5890. About EF. Cataloguer's note: Louise-Jeanne de Durfort de Duras was one of the great collectors of 18th Century works of art.
