Queen's South Africa Medal, 2nd type reverse, with traces of the date remaining, with 7 clasps, Cape Colony, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith, Transvaal, Laing's Nek, Orange Free State and South Africa 1901, named in sloping serif upper and lower case style, awarded to 1771 Pte. G. Sibley. Rifle Bde. VF, the obverse cleaned, with some surface marks. Come with photocopied enlistment papers, Statement of Service, Military History Sheet, Discharge Papers, copies of the Medal Rolls confirming entitlement to the medal clasps, and a copy his Death certificate showing he died at age 68 on 24/10/1938

Comes with card stating that Dvr.Mercer died 20/6/1903 with 66 Battery, the second with 4 bars, South Africa 1901, Transvaal, Orange Free State and Cape Colony, awarded to 7269 Bugler R.W.Hall 2nd Lancashire Fusiliers.
