Two Pounds 2019 350th Anniversary of Samuel Pepys last diary entry 1669 Gold Proof, Reverse: a hand writing with quill. SAMUEL PEPYS DIARIST. Edge inscription : THE GOOD GOD PREPARE ME, is part of the final diary entry and expresses Pepys' fear of going blind. Reverse design by Gary Breeze, Gold Proof FDC , not yet listed in the Spink catalogue, the Royal Mint states a very low mintage of just 225 pieces, the first UK coin to feature Samuel Pepys.
