Blythen, , NEF to EF cleaned, Andrew Blythen was born 11/11/1865 at Wrexham, He served 24 years with the Cheshire Regiment and was discharged for pension 4/4/1909. When World War I broke out he offered his services, and first saw service with the 8th Bn. Cheshire Regiment as shown on the 1918 Army list. The 1919 list shows him as a Captain employed with Dispersal Unit on the General List. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by Army Order 217 in 1939. Medals Medal, reverse short hyphen type, officially impressed naming, with clasp, aded to Ensign T.G. Dundas 15th N.I. EF with some hairlines and some rub to the portrait. Thomas Graham Dundas arrived in on October 4th 1825, and was entitled to Bhurtpoor prize money of 2381 Rupees (£238 ) which he did not claim in India. Comes with copy of India Office Library and Records stating record of , date of commission of rank as Ensign 13th May 1825, and Lieutenant 19th Oct.1836, also List of services - Posted as Ensign to 15th N.I. 1825. and Capture of , Ensign 15th N.I. (India Medal). Transferred as Lieutenant to 4th Extra (became 72nd N.I) from 19th Oct.1826, after his in 1832 to Margaret Maria Louisa, 3rd daughter of Edward Swift Broughton. After a period of furlough, from 10th September 1833, he failed to report for his return and subsequently resigned his commission on 3rd Feb. 1835.

Medals Queen's , 3rd type reverse, with 4 clasps, , , and Laing's Nek, aded to 287 Tpr: H. Cullingworth, M.R. EF with some hairlines, comes with copy of entitlement to the medal and a copied account of a demonstration against an enemy-held hill on the Modder Spruit side of known as Tinta 'Nyoni. The force, led by General White consisted of 5th Lancers, 19th Hussars, I.L.H, Natal M.R., 42nd and 53rd Batteries R.G.A., 1st , 1st s, 1st s and 2nd s Rifles, a total of 5300 officers and men. The Force proceed along the Road for about 6 miles, when they came under fire from their left at 0700 hrs. Their action was prompt and at 0800 a discharge of musketry rose and fell among the extended line of troopers, as the infantry had come up to Rietfontein. The were soon shelling the enemy opposition, and one extremely accurate shell burst full upon one of the Boer pieces. The Natal Mounted Rifles. were ordered by Sir George White across from his right and sent in front of his left flank. The riflemen used all of their skills to remove all of the danger and the object accomplished, 114 casualties were suffered. No Natal M.R were killed, and only three wounded including Trooper H. Cullingworth.

He was discharged on 2/1/1947., along with World War I to Welsh Regiments (4) 1914-15 Star awarded to 19532 Pte.W.Roberts 1st Welsh Fusiliers. EF. Pte.Roberts was killed in action in 3/9/1916 and is buried at Thiepval Memorial. Pier and Face 4A, World War I Medals (3) the first awarded to 11085 Pte.G.Jones, South Borderers, NEF. Pte.Jones died of wounds in , Egypt, 5/7/1915 after evacuation from Gallopoli, and is buried at Alexandria (Chatby) and War Memorial Cemetary L.10. the second awarded to 8717 Pte.D.J.Evans, 2nd Welsh Regiment NEF, Pte.Evans was killed in action 4/5/1915 and is buried at Le Toueret Memorial Panels 23 and 24. the third to 9348 Pte.C.Lewis 1st Royal Welsh Fusiliers.GVF.
