Queen's South Africa and King's South Africa pair, comprising Queen's South Africa, 2nd type reverse, with traces of the date remaining, with 6 clasps, Relief of Kimberley, Paardeberg, Driefontein, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill and Witterbergen awarded to 3617 Cpl. R. Curtiss (mis-spelt), 10th Hussars, and King's South Africa with 2 clasps, South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 to 3617 Serjt: R.H. Curtis 10th Hussars, with some light file marks on the edge by the 3617. Both Bright VF with some deeper hairlines causing light depressions in the fields, both medals accompanied by copies of extracts from the respective medal rolls to the 10th Royal Hussars confirming the entitlement to the clasps.
Order of the British Empire, M.B.E. 1st Type Military Division awarded to Emily AnneCurtis, Unit Administrator, Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps. M.B.E. in case of issue with certificate of award dated June 1919. Together with other interesting original documentation. Mrs Curtis served at the Military Convalescent Hospital, Crownhill Plymouth, retiring in 1919, served 1939-45 with the Civil Defence at Caterham & Warlingham, (entitled to the Defence Medal) and died in 1952
