The note in green and multicolour with the obverse displaying the Bank's Coat of Arms at lower left with thistle plants above and the reverse features an illustration of the Forth Railway bridge near Edinburgh - considered as a symbol of Scotland and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is a note from the very last and very short-lived issue for the bank as the merger between the National and Commercial banks took place in 1959 resulting in all outstanding notes being withdrawn therefore it makes it scarce and seldom seen especially in this high grade.
