The preliminary test strike was inaccurate and shows to the left of the second 8 with a small piece of that test strike also visible in the bottom centre of the lower original 8, About Fine with some, unusual with very few examples recorded, Halfpenny 1699 Date in legend, Unbarred first A in BRITANNIA the second unclear, Peck 684/685 About VG on a pitted flan, both types are rare, along with Halfpennies (56) 1694, William III date worn, 1721, 1753, 1806 (3), 1838, 1843, 1853 (2), 1854, 1855 (2), 1856, 1860 Toothed Border, 1861, 1862 (2), 1870, 1888, 1925 Modified Effigy, 1937 (8), 1938, 1948, 1949 (3), 1950 (2), 1952 (2), 1953 (3), 1955, 1956 (3), 1957 (2), 1958 (5), 1959 (3) in mixed grades with many 20th Century lustrous, along with a further group of Pennies Victorian Bun Heads (90) these include 1871 VG, Penny 1917 EF and Italy 10 Centesimi 1866 VG
