Mozambique early pre 1950's issues (7) in the mid grade Fine-VF and rarely seen notes comprising 50 CentavosPick 55a 5th November 1914 series 2017424 counterfoil type and blue seal on obverse short sea LISBOA (SCWPM Type II). 1 Escudos Pick 66b dated 1st January 1921 without decreto (4) series 4478634, 4521618, 4544425 and 677762. Also 5 EscudosPick 83a dated 1st September 1941 with Decreto No. 17154 (2) series B360908 and B2561092. A collectible group these early issues rarely appear in higher grades
USAHalf Dollar Commemorative 1892 Columbian Exposition ProofBreen 7420, nFDC and superb with a light golden tone, and plenty of eye appeal, Extremely Rare with only 103 examples minted, these being 1-100, numbers 400, 1492 and 1892 also being Proofs. This and the other two Proof coins from a provincial sale also containing items from the estate of McCormick believed to be descendants of the McCormick family of International Harvester of Chicago, major exhibitors at the Columbian Exposition of 1892, so would explain how he obtained these Proof pieces. We note another Proof example sold for $42,250 in 2002, very seldom offered for sale, a rare opportunity
