The finest we have seen of this type. We note an example sold in London Coins Auction A150 described as 'bright EF' realised £180 hammer price in September 2015
Shilling 1817 ESC 1232, Bull 2144 Choice UNC with green and gold toning, in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 88, the joint finest known of 31 examples thus far recorded by the LCGS Population Report, Currency Coins graded 88 are truly rare with only a tiny percentage of the issue escaping the many potential imperfections caused by the minting process. One of a number of high grade and choice slabbed Shillings offered in this sale.
