English Coins 1696 Second Bust . Obverse: Fine work, a more finely engraved rendition of the Second Bust. MVS lower in GVLIELMVS, the final S lower still. Reverse: Small Crowns with Later harp, die axis inverted, 7 strings to harp. The lower bar of the E of REX very weak (appears RFX unless under magnification), the 9 of the date blocked. Bull 1304, Rarity 6, not listed in the 1992 ESC, but referred to in a footnote on page 148 thus 'There is a Second Bust Sixpence of much finer style in the National . This is undoubtedly a pattern together with the Crown and (ESC 93 and ESC 540) of similar style. This example is the plate coin in the Bull 'English Silver Coinage' 2015 edition. Only 3 examples exist, only 2 being in private hands. This example in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 30. A highly important piece and a rare opporty to own such an important coin

English Coins 1853 ESC 687, Bull 2736 UNC the obverse with some very minor contact marks and the coin has been cleaned. 14.12 grammes. Further research shows that PCGS and NGC have graded just 17 examples of this coin. Only issued as part of the 1853 Proof sets, which are of extreme rarity, this is a rare opporty to obtain a key coin in the n Halfcrown series. This last such coin offered by us was in February 2009.Our archive database indicates we have only previously offered one example, this being sold twice by us, as part of the Andrew Wayne and Roland Harris collections.

English Coins 1821 struck in copper ESC 249 nFDC, slabbed and graded CGS 82, Ex-NGC PF61 BN. Ex-Cheshire Collection, Extremely Rare, rated R6 by ESC, (3 or 4 examples known) Cataloguers note:- having had the opporty to examine the coin before slabbing, it is apparent that traces of edge lettering remain in places so the note in ESC stating that this may be the SECUNDO edge coin with the lettering removed, would seem to be correct.
