Crown 1893LVI as ESC 303Davies 501 dies 1A with the designers initials rendered as I.B die to die wear, this die wear noted in some of the items in the Peter Davies Collection (London Coins Auction A124 Lots 1152 and 1156 show an even later die stage with the initials rendered as I.L, these were listed as EF and NVF respectively) , this example UNC and lustrous with minor contact marks, this sub-type very scarce in this high grade
Crown 1893LVI Davies Obverse 1 (T of VICTORIA points to a bead), Reverse streamer similar to Reverse A with a more levelled appearance, the date digits also closer together (listed by CGS as their variety 20 dies 1+G, unlisted elsewhere) EF or near so with some scratches on the portrait
