Halfcrown 1735 Roses and Plumes, OCTAVO edge, ESC 598, Bull 1677 Obverse GEF or better with some light adjustment lines, Reverse UNC or very near so and choice with the lightest of friction to the highest points only, the eye appeal further enhanced by a subtle underlying blue/green tone, a sharp and desirable example of the Young head type, very high grade examples such as this very seldom encountered

Inspection of our auction archive reveals all previous examples of this overdate, and indeed the unaltered date coins, have been normally spaced 77 type, thus proving more than one die was altered to facilitate the striking of this type.
