Halfcrown 1853 ProofESC 687, Bull 2736 UNC the obverse with some very minor contact marks and the coin has been cleaned. 14.12 grammes. Further research shows that PCGS and NGC have graded just 17 examples of this coin. Only issued as part of the 1853 Proof sets, which are of extreme rarity, this is a rare opportunity to obtain a key coin in the Victorian Halfcrown series. This last such coin offered by us was in February 2009.Our archive database indicates we have only previously offered one example, this being sold twice by us, as part of the Andrew Wayne and Roland Harris collections.
Halfcrown 1658 CromwellESC 447, Bull 252 UNC the obverse with the lightest of cabinet friction to the highest points, the portrait retaining much of the original frosting, with a subtle blue and gold toning over some original mint lustre, sharply struck and with excellent surfaces, a superb example, and as such very desirable in this high grade of preservation, comes with collector's ticket stating 'Ex-Spink from 1947'
Halfcrown 1905 ESC 750, Bull 3571 NVF with grey tone, and a gentle edge bruise below the date, nevertheless with pleasing eye appeal, we have seen many examples of similar quality graded as better than VF online
Halfcrown 1908 ESC 753, Bull 3574 UNC and lustrous in an NGC holder and graded NGC MS64, Ex-Cheshire Collection, the NGC Census shows this to be the joint finest thus far graded
