Hong KongOne Cent 1862 Copper Pattern, Type C, KM#Pn25, Pridmore 280. Obverse : Small Gothic head left, crowned, Reverse: ONE CENT around central circle, with date between anchor and lion. Unpriced by Krause, 9.17 grammes, GEF/AU the obverse with a few minor contact marks. All Hong Kong pattern Cents are very rare. We note this type is not recorded on the Heritage, Goldbergs or Stacks archive databases, and our research has not revealed any recent transactions of this type. A rare opportunity to own this rare pattern which would be certain to enhance any advanced Hong Kong collection
BelgiumFlanders (Low Countries) Chaise d'Or undated (Ghent) Louis de Maele 1346-1384 Ruler on ornate gothic throne facing, holding upright sword and hand resting on shield having lion within, all within gothic poly-lobed tressure. Reverse Cross fleury with voided quatrefoil at centre, fleur-de-lis at the angles, all within quatre-lobe tressure. A superb example lustrous with a crisp and even strike, the obverse die showing a touch of light die rust. Scarce this nice, previous graded MS64 by NGC, we grade UNC with minor cabinet friction, an example in Goldbergs Millennia Collection May 2008 Lot 523 realised a hammer price of US$5250
