Jubilee Medal (Mayors and Provosts) 1897 Height 48mm, width 40mm struck in silver Medal Yearbook No.296, a diamond-shaped medal with ring suspension reminiscent of the Klippe coinage of central Europe. Both sides have circular centres with trefoil ornaments occupying the angles. Obverse the W.Wyon portrait of the Young Queen Victoria, Reverse the T.Brock portrait of Queen Victoria. The Gold version of this medal was presented to Lord Mayors and Lord Provosts, the Silver examples were granted to Mayors and Provosts, Good EF in the original dated red box, accompanied by a newspaper cutting detailing the award of the medal
