FREDERICK DUKE OF YORK AND ALBANY Below: A pillar of the faith, a Bulk to the , / Intrepid, Uncompromising, & Consistent, Gratitude has raised his / Monument and Loyalty penned his epitaph. Reverse: Fame holding open scroll and et above epitaph. Scroll inscribed: I have been brought / up from my early / years in these prin / ciples; and from / the time when I / began to reason for / myself I have enter / tained them from / conviction and in / every situation in / which I may be pla / ced I will Maintain / the so help me God. Monument inscribed: 'These sentiments were not ssed' in a political senseand fr(o)m preju / diceand party feelings, but they / 'were firmly fixed in his mind, and / 'were the result of due consideration / 'and conviction, and produced by 'AN EARNEST SOLICITUDE / FOR THE CONTINUED / WELFARE OF HIS COUNTRY.
