Italy Banca D'Italia 1000 Lire Pick 88d dated 25th September 1961 signatures Carli & Ripa (2) a consecutively numbered pair U390 0066430 & U390 0066431. The obverse in dark blue and brown featuring one of the "Three Graces" (Aglaia, Eufrosine and Talia) from the painting "Primavera" (by Botticelli) on left and a red Medusa seal at lower centre on obverse, the reverse featuring the denomination on a guilloche panel at centre and a Monogram of Banca d'Italia at right. Printed by I.P.S. Officina Carte-Valori, Rome inscribed in small script at lower left margin on obverse, these notes are also known amongst Italian collectors as "Ornata di Perle" (Decorated with Pearls).
