Note: Initially the Iraqi Government had ordered notes from Bradbury, Wilkinson and Co. but as a result of World War II, these notes were printed by Nasik Security Printing Press instead. After the war the printing was resumed by Bradbury, Wilkinson and Co.

EgyptCentral Bank 25 PiastresPick 57a dated 4th April 1987 signature S. Hamed and with a solid security thread (300) in 3 bundles of 100 consecutively numbered notes all with prefix 149/S. The first bundle in the number range of 0788701 through 0788800 including a few BINARY numbers. The second bundle falls in the number range of 0788901 through 0789000. The third bundle in the range 0788201 through 0788300. Each note in Purple and pale blue on pale lilac and multi-coloured underprint featuring Al-Sayida Aisha mosque at centre on obverse and standard Egypt's Coat of Arms at centre left on reverse. All watermarked with Tutankhamun's golden death mask discovered in the Valley of Kings in 1925 one of the best-known works of art in the world. All crisp UNC

Comprising interesting issues as the early Companhia de Mozambique 5 Libras Estrelinas Pick R32 dated 15th January 1934 and punch holed at centre left and right to read "PAGO / 5th Nov 1942" - PAGO meaning PAID. Along with a World War 2 Emergency issue 50 CentavosPick 80 series L No. 56028 Decreto No 17154 dated 9th September 1941. A Chamico portrait series 1 Escudo Pick 81 dated 1st September 1941 signatures Manuel Rodrigues Junior & Antonio dos Santos Viegas (2) serial numbers B 000404 and B 1737117. The provisionally overprinted 50 Escudos Pick 116 dated 27th October 1970 (1976) serial number B0161674. Also, 1000 EscudosPick 115 dated 23rd May 1972 number 1659501. Along with a selection of 1000 Meticais Pick 128 dated 16th June 1980 (5) all possibly first series prefixes AA and come in some fairly earlier numbers as the consecutive trio AA 0018593 - AA 0018595, AA0013003 and AA744640 this with a minor pencilled numeral at upper right marginal corner. An interesting selection especially the early Portuguesecolonial

All in red on multi-coloured underprint featuring Windsurfer at left, Queen Elizabeth II at centre right on obverse and a picturesque scene of a coastline with rocks and Coconut Palm trees on reverse. All printed by Thomas de la Rue and Company Limited imprinted in small script at lower centre on reverse and watermarked with a bust of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II. All bearing the signature of Sir Cecil Jacobs, the first Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. Together with Brunei Government mid 1980's issues (3) all in fresh and crisp UNC comprising 1 Ringgit/Dollar Pick 6c dated 1984 serial number A/29 466317, blue. 5 Ringgit/Dollars Pick 7b dated 1986 serial number A/5 865182, green. And the 10 Ringgit/Dollars Pick 8b dated 1986 serial number A/18 107315, in red. All featuring Sultan Hassan al-Bolkiah I on obverse and as watermark and the reverses illustrating Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin mosque, Bandar Seri Begawan. GuernseyTreasurer of The States Post War 10 Shillings Pick 42c (BY GU32b) dated 1st July 1966 (2) a consecutively numbered pair serial numbers 20/W 2536 & 20/W 2537 both bearing the signature L.A. Guilemette titled Treasurer and the notes in lilac on light green underprint on obverse and the reverse in purple featuring the Guernsey seal on a guilloche panel. Printed by Perkins Bacon Limited London inscribed in small script at lower centre on reverse. Both UNC and very scarce in this condition and as a consecutive pair. After 1945 the Islanders had to rebuild their lives, the return of evacuees, especially children who could hardly remember their relatives. Many properties had been damaged through wood being stripped from them for fuel, the Island had an enormous debt liability, tourism was destroyed and the growing industry was damaged. The amount of scrap metal collected is now regretted. Rationing continued as in the UK, until the mid 1950s. Many traditional businesses, such as fishing and quarrying would not return. So the Islanders looked to other opportunities, the physical import/export of goods was difficult as the harbours were too small and freight cost too expensive, so control of trade was looked at, the right to supply Mateus Rosé to the UK was controlled by a Guernsey business and it became the top selling wine in the world. By the 1960s the Island had recovered, tourism was important again, the horticulture industry was booming, 500 million tomatoes being exported annually, then came the crash.

Malta Bank Centrali ta'Malta 10 Liri Pick 47a L. 1967 (1994) signature Anthony Galdes segmented foil over security thread and ascending size serial number at upper left C/23 908135 and the note in green on multicolour underprint featuring doves at left and Malta standing with rudder at right on obverse and "7th June 1919" Monument; Wounded people brought into the National Assembly on 7th June 1919 (Aquarell of Gianni Vella) on reverse.

Better notes include Egypt 10 Piastres Egyptian Government Pick 160b dated 27th May 1917 series E/42 76483. A few consecutive sets comprising set of 3 5 MarksPick 56a series W1999645, W1999646 & W1999647. Two sets of consecutives 1000 Marks Pick 45b dated 21st April 1910 the first set of 13 series 1034748B to 1034760B and the second set of 20 series 1034981B to 1035000B and this set coming with the original bank wrapper from Berlin stamp dated 27th March 1919.
