British Administration 1950's Queen Elizabeth II portrait issues (2) both in VF comprising Bermuda Government 5 Shillings Pick 18b dated 1st May 1957 serial number Q/1 414049 along with Malaya & British Borneo Board of Commissioners of Currency 1 DollarPick 1a dated 21st March 1953 serial number A/90 769221. Both Scarcer and always sought-after collectible examples. The Bermuda 5 Shillings is an example from the last issue before Bermuda changed its system to dollars partly due to the increased tendency to keep their reserves in US dollars, nevertheless Bermuda remained a member of the sterling area
Bermuda Government 1952-1966 young H.M. Queen Elizabeth II portrait and the last of the Pound system issues (3) all in original fresh and crisp GVF comprising 5 Shillings Pick 18b dated 1st May 1957 serial number Y/1 289604 in brown on multicolour featuring illustration of Hamilton harbour. 10 Shillings Pick 19c dated 1st October 1966 serial number V/1 975700 in red on multicolour underprint featuring Gates Fort, St. George's illustration. 1 Pound Pick 20d dated 1st October 1966 serial number V/2 330792 in blue on multicolour underprint featuring an illustration of Somerset Bridge at left, the world's smallest operating drawbridge. An interesting 2 portrait styles issue where the lower denominations only feature an uncrowned profile portrait whilst the 1 Pound and higher feature a crowned 3/4 facing portrait of H.M. the Queen. The reverses all feature the denomination and a large United Kingdom Royal Coat of Arms at centre. A very attractive and rarely seen group from circulation, printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ld. New Malden, Surrey, England imprinted in small script at lower centre on obverse only for the 10 Shillings and 1 Pound, while on the 5 Shillings on both sides lower centre
