The note in dark blue on yellow and red underprint with the obverse featuring a portrait of Lord Pitcairn the first Chairman of the Bank at lower centre and Allegorical figures at upper centre the same as the pediment on the head office building. The reverse with a dark blue guilloche panel featuring the Bank's head office building at centre flanked by the numerical values.
