Courtney the left with a manuscript counter signature of one of the many women employed by the Finance Department who were hired for this purpose, variety with wording "ONE" bent outwards at left and right centre reverse, VG - about Fine and Exceptionally scarce note. Black on brownish underprint displaying an illustration of a busy log river drive scene flanked by the portraits Countess and Earl of Aberdeen (Governor General). The reverse in green with guilloche panels and an illustration of the Parliament Buildings, view from front gate to the Centre block. These notes were printed in sheets of four with the same sheet number printed on each note. Printed by the n Banknote Company, Ottawa.
