and Humane Society Medal Fire Medal in silver aded to D, for Gallant 6/12/1927, for saving two children in a house fire at 7 Monk Street, Birkenhead. Reference: Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society Annual Report January 1928 (pages 41,42 and 43) Good Fine, with numerous edge knocks, comes with a handwritten account of the incident, also with a note stating that the medal was purchased from the family of John , whose children used the disc to play Hopscotch. The suspension survived and has been reunited with the medal with a repair to the clasp
