05/03/2023 Auction 180	Medals	Lot 875	Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society Medal Fire Medal in silver awarded to John Darlington, for Gallant Service 6/12/1927, for saving two children in a house fire at 7 Monk Street, Birkenhead. Reference: Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society Annual Report January 1928 (pages 41,42 and 43) Good Fine, with numerous edge knocks, comes with a handwritten account of the incident, also with a note stating that the medal was purchased from the family of John Darlington, whose children used the disc to play Hopscotch.
