Groat 1847 7 over 8, S.3913 (ESC and Bull list as 7 over 6), EF, the underlying digit bold, one of the key coins in the series, rated R4 by ESC and Bull (11-20 examples believed to exist) and always highly sought after. Our archive database stretching back to 2003 shows that the previous finest specimen offered by us was graded AVF/VF, so this by some distance the finest example we have offered
Groat 1862 Plain edge ProofESC 1955B, Bull 3357, Davies 1235, S.3913 in an NGC holder and graded PF63 Cameo, an exceptionally rare coin, it's rating of R5 by Bull is fully justified. Our archive database stretching back to 2003 shows that this is the first example we have offered. Internet searches have showed only one previous example offered for sale.
Guinea 1683 S.3344 Near Fine with some unevenness to the edge at the top of the reverse suggesting possibly once in jewellery , however the surfaces far superior show no signs of the coin having been in jewellery. All Charles II gold now rare in any grade
Half Guinea 1670 S.3347 VG/Fine, the obverse with a scratch, our archive database shows we have offered 38 Charles II Half Guineas since 2003, but this is the first 1670 we have seen
Half Guinea 1740 Intermediate laureate head, S.3683, Good Fine with an old scratch and some hairlines on the obverse, rare. Our archive database stretching back to 2003 shows that we have only offered one other example of this date, and have not offered an example for 12 years, so probably rarer than catalogue values would suggest
Half Guinea 1804 S.3737, Iverson Obverse 4 Lower laurel leaf points to the middle of the E in DEI, Reverse D, 1 in date over the serif of the F in FIDEI, NVF/GVF with a thin scratch on the portrait, the second rarest die combination in David Iverson's recent study, with only 13 of the examined 128 coins being this combination (10.16%), (Coin News May 2021)
Half Guinea 1804 S.3737, Obverse: Lower laurel leaf points to the middle of the E in DEI, Reverse: 1 in date is above the first I of FIDEI, 0 of date touches Garter and points to the end of the tip of the R of REX, Iverson Obverse 4, Reverse C, this is the third most rare type of six varieties now identified by David Iverson in his newly published article (Coin News May 2021) with only an estimated 11-12% of the total mintage being of this type. The three rarest varieties combined account for less than 23% of the total mintage for the year. An eye-catching and lustrous example, in an NGC holder and graded MS62, always desirable in this high grade, and one of the finest we have offered since 2003.
Half Sovereign 1937 ProofS.4077, Marsh 543A, in an NGC holder and graded PF67*, an exceptionally high grade, at the time of writing, NGC had graded 469 examples, with only one graded higher, with the highest grade awarded by PCGS being Proof 67
Half Sovereign 1989 500th Anniversary of the First Gold Sovereign S.SB3 Gold Proof, the obverse with very minor hairlines, otherwise FDC and retaining full brilliance, uncased in capsule, no box or certificate
Halfcrown 1677 VICESIMO NONO edge, ESC 479, Bull 475,EF or near so with touches of gold, blue and green tone, a well struck and most pleasing example of the Fourth Bust portrait, light scattered haymarking barely detracts, all Charles II Halfcrown rare and desirable in all grades VF and above

Halfcrown 1840 ESC 673, Bull 2715 GVF the obverse with some contact marks once cleaned, now with a colourful artificial tone. Halfcrowns of 1839 and 1840 are the only dates with W.W on the truncation and given the rarity of the 1839 coin, the 1840 is always a popular type coin
Halfcrown 1844 44 with upper serifs, ESC 677, Bull 2720, UNC with green and gold toning, the reverse well struck with the harp crisply struck, normally a notorious weak point on this series; an array of different colours on the reverse further accentuate the superb eye appeal of this piece, A choice example that would enhance any top quality Halfcrown collection
Halfcrown 1896 ESC 730, Bull 2782, Davies 668 dies 2A, the reverse with the long border teeth as on the 1893-1895 issues, in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 75, by far the scarcer of the two types
Halfcrown 1903 ESC 748, Bull 3569 EF/GEF, NGC UNC Details CLEANED. Many dealers claim the 1903 Halfcrown is harder to find in high grade than the 1905 and our results database does not contradict this theory
