The National Seventh issue 1 Pick 258b (PMS NA48, BY SC503e) very LAST date and prefix for this type 2nd January 1953 serial number B/G 908-443 signature John Allan Brown titled General Manager, EF - about UNC. The note in light brown and black on red and yellow sunburst underprint with the obverse displaying Glasgow Cathedral and Palace of Holyrood house at left and right along with the Bank's Coat of Arms at upper centre. The reverse featuring an elaborate guilloche panel displaying a city view of Edinburgh at centre flanked by large numerical value in panels, Coat of Arms above and surrounded with numerical value.
