06/12/2020 Auction 171	World Banknotes	Lot 158	Italy (3) a trio of the 1000 Lire "Ornata di Perle" (Decorated with pearls), as known amongst Italian collectors, all in GVF or about and in 2 different date varieties including Pick 83 dated 20th March 1947 signatures Einaudi & Urbini (2) block U 101 number 029397 and block Q90 number 068666. Along with the later dated Pick 88d dated 25th September 1961 signatures Carli & Ripa block U443 number 005121. All printed by I.P.S. Officina Carte-Valori, Rome, watermarked with the bust of "Italia" and seal type "Medusa". These notes very popular amongst collectors and feature the portrait of one of the "Three Graces" of the painting "Primavera", by the early Renaissance Italian painter Sandro Botticelli.
