The Commercial Limited Fourteenth and Final Wilkinson issue 1 Pick S332 (PMS CO65, BY SC405) dated 3rd January 1951 serial number 27M 754 866 and bearing signature Sir John Erskine titled General Manager. A very attractive and eye-catching design mainly in violet on multicolour underprint with the obverse featuring a portrait of Lord Cockburn one of the Bank's first Directors at upper right and Allegorical female bust at lower centre flanked by plants and 2 Allegorical figures representing Agriculture and Maritime shipping. The reverse in violet featuring a large panel with the Bank's Coat of Arms with a seated Maritime Allegorical female figure on top and flanked by 2 Griffins and thistle plants. Printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ld. New Malden, Surrey, imprinted in small script at lower centre obverse and watermarked with the same female bust as on obverse. A presentable GVF example of the very last issue for the bank just before the merger with the National.
