Crown 1934 ESC 374 and the key to the series Unc or very near so reverse prooflike graded 78 (now termed AU 78) by CGS - UK a few minor scuffs obverse being the only detractions, rare and desirable
Florin 1938 ESC 958 bright AU with some toning lines on the lower half of the obverse and graded 75 by CGS, CGS mark down for high points friction and striking and most coins graded by them at 75 and 78 are very close to UNC and would attract an AU description from most commercial dealers CGS has acknowledged this by using AU 75 and AU 78 on their labels rather than EF 75 and EF 78
Penny 1858 No WW Peck 1518 UNC with practically full lustre and of stunning appearance thus, graded UNC 82 by CGS - UK . Although CGS UK consider lustre, and mark down coins that have unsightly toning problems, they do not rate eye appeal as highly as the USA grading companies. The CGS system attaches more importance to wear, bag marks, hairlines etc, so coins with these problems that, owing to eye appeal may be hyped up by traditional retailers or graded higher in the US, will get a more conservative grade. Note it is interesting to see large quantities of cleaning fluids such as MS70 specifically designed for coin cleaning available at US coin shows, this presumably is a development influenced by "eye appeal" requirements.
Shilling 1734 Roses and Plumes as ESC 1197 with the 3 of the date struck over a 3 further to the left, the date thus appearing as 17334 an unusual new variety graded EF 60 by CGS and their variety no. 02 so coin type number SH.G2.1734.02

Shilling 1910 CGS AU 75 an interesting example of how CGS grade with some high points friction on the King's eye brow and hair and on the lion's nose presumably the contributors to the AU grade, few other problems apparent
Penny 1910 PCGS MS64 RD as part of a group of Crowns to Farthings (over 2 Kilos) largely 19th and 20th Century with a few earlier in mixed grades with some pieces lustrous EF-UNC
Crown 1897 LX ESC 312 pleasant AU and graded 75 by CGS, CGS mark down for high points friction and bag marks and most coins graded by them at 75 and 78 are very close to UNC currently no veiled head crowns have been graded above 78, those that would make
Farthing 1861 Freeman 506 dies 3+B Bronze ProofCGS UNC 88. Unlike the American grading houses who clearly have a variety of grading standards dictated by the series of the coin being graded ("grading for type", which effectively allows a VF coin to be ca
