This medal was only the second medal awarded for a particular campaign (after Waterloo) and was granted to both British and Indian troops who took part in the assault on Ghuznee in 1839 which brought the First Afghan War to a close. It was issued unnamed by the Honourable East India Company.

Afghanistan Medal, Second Afghan War, in silver, with 2 clasps, Kandahar and Ahmed Khel, awarded to 1828 Cpl. J. Denton 2/60th Foot, GVF, the obverse with some light scratches in the fields, comes with copied papers of Depot Battalions Pay List, Statements of Pay and Allowances of Recruits, and a list of Men of the 2nd Battalion 60th Rifles who have died, been killed, made Prisoners of War or deserted. This lists the death of Joseph Denton, who had been promoted to Lance Sergeant on 22nd Feb 1881, and is listed as having died on 20th April 1881, at Newcastle (Natal) soon after peace was signed. Also comes with typed history of his Military career in India, Afghanistan and South Africa.

Queen's South Africa Medal, 3rd type reverse, with 4 clasps, Elandslaagte, Orange Free State, Transvaal and Laing's Nek, awarded to 287 Tpr: H. Cullingworth, Natal M.R. EF with some hairlines, comes with copy of entitlement to the medal and a copied account of a demonstration against an enemy-held hill on the Modder Spruit side of Ladysmith known as Tinta 'Nyoni. The force, led by General White consisted of 5th Lancers, 19th Hussars, I.L.H, Natal M.R., 42nd and 53rd Batteries R.G.A., 1st LiverpoolRegiment, 1st Devons, 1st Gloucestershires and 2nd Kings Royal Rifles, a total of 5300 officers and men. The Force proceed along the Newcastle Road for about 6 miles, when they came under fire from their left at 0700 hrs. Their action was prompt and at 0800 a discharge of musketry rose and fell among the extended line of troopers, as the infantry had come up to Rietfontein. The British were soon shelling the enemy opposition, and one extremely accurate shell burst full upon one of the Boer pieces. The Natal Mounted Rifles. were ordered by Sir George White across from his right and sent in front of his left flank. The colonial riflemen used all of their skills to remove all of the danger and the object accomplished, 114 casualties were suffered. No Natal M.R were killed, and only three wounded including Trooper H. Cullingworth.

AfricaGeneral Service Medal with Somaliland 1920 clasp, awarded to K.22834 C.Fitzsimmons, Sto. 1Cl. H.M.S. Ark Royal. NEF with some hairlines, comes with copy of service record, showing that he joined the Royal Navy in July 1914, for 12 years, as Stoker 2nd Class, advancing to Stoker 1st Class in March 1917. He was invalided from the service in April 1921. H.M.S. Ark Royal was a seaplane carrier.
Italy - Tuscany, Order of St. Joseph, Knight's Star in gold and enamel, 58mm x 38mm , gross weight 13.77 grammes, a six-armed cross, with ball finials with red-enamelled gold rays between each quadrant. Obverse: A figure of St. Joseph with UBIQUE SIMILITUS in a red enamelled border, Reverse: withy the inscription S J F 1807, NEF with some of the red enamel missing from the top of the medal below the crown suspension. The Order of Saint Joseph was instituted in 1807 by Ferdinand III, Grand Duke of Tuscany, (during his reign as Grand Duke of Wurzburg) and transformed in 1817 into a Tuscan Roman Catholic Dynastic Order. It is awarded for services towards Tuscan culture and civilisation and to the Grand Ducal Houses as a whole. The order was originally divided into civil and military categories, although these are now defunct. It is now divided into three levels: Knight's Grand Cross (30 members), Commander (60 members) and Knights (150 members). Sovereigns, Heads of State, and Princes of the Grand Ducal House and other Royal Houses, Cardinals of the Holy Roman Church and Tuscan Metropolitan Archbishops were excluded form the count. All members had to be Catholics and the number of women could not exceed fifty (excluding Princesses of the Grand Ducal and other Royal Houses, wives of Heads of State and Dames of the Order of Saint Stephen).

CanadaGeneral Service Medal with Fenian Raid 1866 clasp, awarded to Pte. C. McDoff, Varennes I Co. (appears renamed) NEF with some contact marks and small scratches. This medal was only awarded 30 years after the event, and was issued by the Canadian Government to British and Canadian local forces who took partin operations to put down the Fenian raids of 1866 and 1870, and the Red River rebellion of the latter year.

Baltic Medal 1854-1855 privately named, awarded to Cpl. H. Kilby 25 Co. RM. H.M.S. Gladiator.
