Farthing 1675 Peck 528 A superb and choice piece in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 82. A well struck example on both obverse and reverse undoubtedly contributing to the high grade. The finest known of 5 examples thus far recorded by the LCGS Population Report. At the time of writing, 38 examples had been recorded, the next finest Charles II currency Farthing being graded 75, therefore this clearly a superior piece. A true mint state example with excellent detail and surfaces, very few extant in this high grade, would enhance any top quality copper collection, one of a number of high quality slabbed copper Farthings in this sale

Halfpennies (2) 1675 5 over 3 type as Peck 528, now listed by Spink under S.3393, Good Fine and bold, Very Rare, we note that of the 5 examples recoded in the Nicholson collection, this is different to all of them, comes with old collector's tick et stating 'Seaby June 1967 £8-10-0' where it was recorded as a 1673 coin, 1694 Peck 602 GF/NVF, comes with old collector's ticket stating 'Mayfair Coin Co, Regent St. London June 1968 £5-10-0'

Penny 1867 with 542/329 scratched in field before bust Peck 1675 and listed as 'probably unique', Ex-Peck collection, UNC with minor cabinet friction and traces of lustre, these numbered Pennies seldom appear on the market, it is believed that only 30 examples of all the dates of Pennies, Halfpennies and Farthings bearing these numbers are in existence, and of that number, 17 are in the British Museum (Source: The British Bronze Coinage by Michael Gouby 3rd Edition 2000)
