Sovereign 1828 Marsh 13, S.3801, Good Fine with some heavy scuffs on the obverse, an extremely rare issue, rated R4 by Marsh one of the classic key rarities in the entire milled Sovereign series. Our archive database stretching back to 2003 shows that we have only offered one previous example. Note: The mintage for this calendar year is recorded as 386,182 however much of this figure were Sovereigns dated 1827. It was only in December of this year that 1828 Sovereigns started to be minted so the 1828 coins form only a small fraction of this figure
