Hammered (19) Study group of medieval, Tudor, and Stuart coinage of various denominations and in varying states (one pierced). Also includes a singular Norman detector find penny of William the Conqueror with a pleasing portrait but fractured. Viewing recommended.
HalfpennyEdward IV/V m.m. Sun & Rose, Tower mint (Blunt & Whitton Type XXII, Withers 11a, Stewartby p.450, N.1667, S.2148) Fair with light flan split but extremely rare. From the most sought after reign of the medieval series and only struck for a very short period in early 1483.N.B. The cataloguer believes the last Sun & Rose halfpenny in the name of Edward to come to auction was in 2009 (St.James' Auction 12, Lot.1131)

Medieval Jettons (4) all English and produced circa early 1300's with contemporary designs. Collectors tickets included. AF to VF, 2 Jettons centrally pierced as is usually the case to prevent circulation

Mack Collection, No.1082 and is therefore also featured in the Fitzwilliam Museum's Early Medieval Corpus as E.M.C.1020.1082.
