Uniface in black and white with value wording in panel at lower left and bank title at upper centre below an illustration of a farm field with resting cow, windmill, wheat stack and the Bank's monogram in 3 bays of wool. Colony of Natal was a British colony in south-eastern Africa proclaimed as such on the 4th May 1843 after the British Government had annexed the Boer Republic of Natalia. On the 31st May 1910 it was combined with the other 3 colonies to form the Union of South Africa and it was the smallest of its provinces and very popular with its beaches, mountains and savannah densely populated with big game.

ScotlandBank of Scotland 1 Pound Waterston Essay/Colour Proof unadopted Reverse designs ND 1943, PMS 96 for type (5) all GEF, Exceptionally Rare and in different colours each ink numbered in lower centre margin as follows - No. 2 in Brown, No.3 in Olive-gray, No.4 in Green, No.5 in teal (blue-green) and No.6 in Blue. Each displaying the Bank's Head Office building at centre flanked by the Bank's Coat of Arms and value in each corner. In April, 1943 in advance of the Bank's 250th anniversary in 1945, the Bank started to consider redesigning their 1 Pound notes. A committee was setup and several essays were presented by Waterstons, until Stanley Curister, Curator of the National Gallery, was consulted and expressed a view that none of the designs were suitable and presented a whole new design with the Bank's Arms against a lined background which was approved in May 1944. Seychelles Thomas De la Rue underprint black & white Progressive Proofs for the 1918-36 George V portrait issue 1 and 5 Rupee Plates (3) all with Printer's Annotations, Thomas De La Rue imprint, well kept and all have pinholes. Consisting of a progressive proof for the 1 Rupee with Printer's Annotations in the border frame possibly for corrections, this has a minor Inner Tear and Rust paper clip marks possibly when displayed and archived in regard to the corrections. Along with Progressive proofs for the 5 Rupees both stuck on photographic paper (2) including the initial inspected proof and annotations of 2 flaw areas in the border frame areas near lower right and upper left corners near numerical denomination values. Along with the proof after corrections have taken place pointing to the same areas. An Exceptionally Rare and interesting find, infect our research could not find any similar proof's appearing on the internet. A unique opportunity for any collector to obtain these fine proof examples of the first Seychelles own Rupee currency which was circulating with and slowly replaced the Mauritius rupee, and these issues were the only circulating currency in the form of banknotes until the first introduction of coins in 1939. WalesBlack Sheep & Bull series in sets (15) all very well preserved and in about UNC - UNC comprising The Chief Treasury of Wales First Issue Set (4) 10 Shillings and 1, 5 and 10 Pounds all overprinted in red "Cancelled 29 April 1969" and all with red dragon and a green abacus, to the lower right on the front and a painting of Caernarfon Castle on the back. The Castle Notes – Second Series set (4) 10 Shillings and 1, 5 and 10 Pounds, the 10 shillings and 1 Pound overprinted in black "Cancelled" and the 5 and 10 Pounds in red " Cancelled 4th January 1971". These no longer denominated as Welsh currency. The word 'Gynt' (meaning 'Formerly') at the bottom left of the notes is now aligned with the rest of the line. A vignette of Caernarfon Castle appears in the four corners on the back of the notes. The Chief Treasury of Wales Sight Notes with no duty stamp and overprinted "Cancelled by Order" (2) 10 shillings and 1 Pound. Along with a set of the Black bull series (5) 5 and 10 Shillings and 1, 5 and 10 Pounds. The 5 Shillings overprinted in black "Cancelled", the rest overprinted in red "Cancelled 23rd May 1969". This lot comes with a vintage black & white book/booklet titled "The Collectors' Guide to Modern Welsh Note Issues" copyrighted Richard Hugh Williams,1970 and published by Bill Pritchard, South Wales, UK.

All bearing the signature of Sir Cecil Jacobs, the first Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. Afghanistan Da Afghanistan Bank 10000 Afghanis Pick 63b SH1372 (1993) issues with space between 'Da' and 'Afghanistan' in bank name on upper reverse (199) in 2 bundles all with prefix 9/GD in the serial numbers. The first bundle consists of 99 notes in a near consecutively numbered run in the serial number range 4410501 - 4410600 missing only 1 number. And the second bundle of 100 notes in a fully consecutively numbered run in the number range 4410601 through 4410700. Each note in black, deep olive-green and deep blue-green on multi-coloured underprint featuring Mosque of Herat at centre right and Da Afghanistan Bank logo at upper centre on obverse and Arch of Qila-e-Bost, Lashkargah on reverse. The obverse in black on blue and light blue underprint featuring Australia Coat of Arms, officially known as the Commonwealth Coat of Arms with a shield depicting the 6 states and held by the native Australian animals - the kangaroo and emu bird, along with a portrait of Sir John Franklin, a British Royal Navy officer and a famous explorer of the Arctic who disappeared and died along with the crew on his last expedition in 1847 whilst attempting to chart and navigate the Northwest passage in the North American Arctic. The reverses all feature the denomination and a large United Kingdom Royal Coat of Arms at centre. A very attractive and rarely seen group from circulation, printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ld. The reverse displaying 4 Coat of Arms/Seals of member States - Leeward Islands, British Guiana, Windward Islands, Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados. Watermarked H.M. the Queen bust facing right. A very fresh and crisp about UNC or near so with very Minor marginal stain at upper right but this not affecting this Extraordinarily Rare note's appearance.
