The note in red on multicoloured underprint Dhow, derrick, and palm tree at left on obverse and denomination at centre on a guilloche panel and issuer across the top on reverse, watermarked Falcon's head and bearing the signature Khalifa bin Hamad al-Thani. In a PMG holder and graded Very Fine 25 Annotations. One of the rarest denominations for the short-lived currency union of Qatar & Dubai being perceived to be just as Rare as the 25 Riyals, this note will make a fascinating addition to any serious collection. While the use of 1, 5, 10 and 100 Riyals proved popular and numbers increased in circulation over the years after the initial release, the 25 and 50 Riyals however decreased and with the initial issued figures being significantly lower than the other denominations not a lot of examples must have survived over the years.
