IranCentral Bank of the Islamic Republic 100 Rials Pick 140f ND 1985 - 2005 signatures Dr. Mohsen Noorbakhsh & Dr. Hossein Namazi variety with watermark Khomeini (600) in 6 bundles of 100 consecutively numbered notes each with the same prefix 99/4. Serial numbers fall in the ranges 784001 through 784100, 784401 through 784500 and 784601 through 785000. Each note in purple on multi-coloured underprint and the obverse featuring a portrait of Ayatollah Moddaress at right, an Iranian Twelver Shi'a cleric, a notable supporter of the Iranian Constitutional Revolution and one of the founding members of the reformist party Hezb-e Eslaah-talab, he was killed while imprisoned in 1937. The reverse displaying the Parliament building in Tehran at left.
