Along with Pick 96b (Callaway-Murphy BA 98b) dated 5th January 1948 serial number H0159121, yellow and grey blue Scotia medallion at centre no banks arms on obverse and reverse now in yellow-ochre about UNC - UNC. In 1943, ahead of the Bank's 250th Anniversary in 1945, the Bank started to consider redesigning the 1 Pound note therefore a committee was set up. The notes in this lot include the old and the new design where the new design no longer features a side panel with the banks arms and arms now on reverse against a lined background.
