And the large sized 'Horse Blanket' 20 Pounds note Pick 164 (BY SC236; PMS BL73) signature A.P. Anderson a very first prefix and date for this type dated 14th February 1962 series G/5 09/319. A very collectible group with the British Linen Bank examples bearing historical significance caused by the ground-breaking decision of the Bank to transition between designs for their final issues before being acquired by the Bank of Scotland

The obverse in blue on light green and red sunburst underprint featuring Bank's Coat of Arms at upper centre surrounded by value in panels at left and right and at far left - a panel displaying Ditat and seated helmeted Athena (Pallas). The reverse in blue on light green underprint featuring an enlarged Ditat helmeted Athena (Pallas) panel at centre and numerical value panels at left and right. About EF or near to about `Scottish UNC` as some would say due to the engrained habit of Scottish bank tellers of folding their notes to fit them in their tills.
