Proof FDC, a spectacular piece and the flagship coin of the 50th Anniversary series. 100mm diameter and weighing 1696.6 grammes. Of a total mintage of 50 coins, it is believed that only 2 examples of this piece are available in the UK, with the other retailing in excess of £100,000, comes in the large and impressive South Africa Mint box of issue, with certificate of issue number 36 of 50 issued, 294-page hardback book 'Krugerrand Golden Jubilee' by Francois Malan and a set of South Africa postage stamps (3) International Small Letter rate each with Krugerrand coin designs 1967, 2000 and 2017 embossed onto gold foiling. The ultimate in large gold coinage, and by comparison, dwarfs the recent One Kilo Royal Mint issues. A true status symbol coin, and a rare opportunity to own one, indeed our research indicates this is the first such piece to be offered at auction.
