Groat 1853 ProofESC 1951A, Bull 3348 nFDC with attractive gold and olive toning and much eye appeal, retaining underlying original mint brilliance, an extremely rare piece, seldom seen, far scarcer than the R2 assigned by Bull, we note that an example described as 'EF with a few minor hairlines, realised £1800 in London Coins Auction A154 4/9/2016 Lot 2023, this example comfortably superior to that piece
