Hammered (19) Study group of medieval, Tudor, and Stuart coinage of various denominations and in varying states (one pierced). Also includes a singular Norman detector find penny of William the Conqueror with a pleasing portrait but fractured. Viewing recommended.

Triple Unite 1642 Charles IOxford Mint tall narrow bust declaration in three lines North 2381, Coincraft C1TU-010, Spink 2724 pleasing VF/Good VF on a well rounded flan 26.96 gr. and good eye appeal with the gold of a rich deep hue, a few minor metal faults obverse as often with coins of this age and in our opinion certainly as pleasing a piece as was sold in our June 2013 sale (lot 1183 £45,000 hammer price) and from the same Clarendon sale Bonhams 2006 lot 1271
UniteJames I second coinage m.m. coronet 1607-09 fourth bust (Schneider 23 var, S2619, N.2084) NVF, bust in low relief and with some metal stress around the bust otherwise a well presented example. This mintmark is not represented in the Schneider sylloge.
Brass Threepence 1948 VIP ProofPeck 2391A nFDC with a small spot on the thrift plant, comes with an old Seaby envelope, Very Rare with probably less than 10 known
Crown 1658 Oliver Cromwell high quality imitation in silver 30.1 grams nEF some dimples and surface bubbles reverse which would be inconsistent with the genuine issue, clearly a sharply struck rather than cast piece with edge lettering bold and of high quality, origin unknown and in need of further research
Crown 1676 VICESIMO OCTAVO with edge reading ANNO EGNI (similar to the 1675 edge variety) although there are traces of the missing R in the normal spaced gap between ANNO and EGNI, VG/Near Fine and unusual, viewing recommended
Crown 1687 TERTIO ESC 78 UNC or near so with deep toning, a few contact marks in the obverse field and some light haymarking barely detract, a sharply struck example with both the portrait and the reverse shields fully struck, a most attractive example with much eye appeal
