Sovereign 1887S Jubilee Head, Hooked J in J.E.B. Wide spaced J.E.B. with straight level initials S.3868ADISH S2, VF/GVF all Sydney Mint 1887 Jubilee Head Sovereigns are rare and sought after. Recent studies carried out by Jubilee Head Gold specialist David Iverson have concluded using Mint Reports of the time, that the total number of Sydney Mint 1887 coins can be put at around 372,000 pieces, this is a combined total for the six known dies of the series, so all 1887S Jubilee Head types can be said to be very rare
