Florin 1918 ESC 937, Bull 3763, Davies 1741, in an NGC holder and graded MS65 a choice piece, all George V pre-1920 Florins extremely hard to find in choice grades. At the time of writing NGC have graded 86 examples, 4 in MS65 with none finer, also PCGS have only graded 2 example in MS65, thus making this the joint finest known

A superb example of the first year of the Half silver type, displaying much original colour and underlying mint lustre, very different in appearance the preceding Bright Finish coins, as various experiments were made with the non-silver part of the alloy from 1920-1922. Few coins with true original colour survive, a choice piece, in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 82, the joint finest known of 15 examples thus far recorded by the LCGS Population Report. Threepence 1920 Davies 1934A this new obv. 5 appears to be a companion to the lower relief Halfcrown, florin and shilling obverses. The portrait is fractionally larger than obv. 3 and the field rises slightly in front of the forehead. This lower relief portrait is mainly achieved by a shallow style, 'hollowed' neck with further indentations to the forehead. Both known examples have a distinct die flaw running from the border beads through the upright of the second 'T' in 'Britt' to the top of the head and are the only two known to the Peter Davies. NVF and extremely rare

Shilling 1920 Obv 4 Rev B -- B.S.C. 1804 -- a scarcer obv. for 1920 being rare in this offered grade. Spink have encountered their 'recut shallow portrait' in the 1920 halfcrowns and florins, but not for any 1920 shillings. Choice for issue AU
