Shilling 1651 Commonwealth, No Stops on obverse, ESC 983B, Good Fine or better with a pleasing old tone and a rim nick at 7 o'clock struck on a full and round flan, a very pleasing example of the type with much eye appeal
Shilling 1651 Commonwealth, No stops on obverse, ESC 983B, Good Fine, evenly struck with only a small trace of flan usually associated with this series, struck on a full round flan stress and with very good eye appeal for the grade, according to our archive database, the first of this variety we have offered, and indeed only the third 1651 we have offered, so probably rarer than ESC rarity scale and catalogue values would suggest
Shilling 1651 Commonwealth, No stops on obverse, ESC 983B a bold Fine, the reverse with a few signs of flan stress, otherwise very pleasing for the grade
ShillingCommonwealth 1651 COMONWEALTH errorESC 984C Near EF with traces of residual mint lustre, the flan with some stress marks and a couple of slightly weaker areas, Commonwealth Shillings very seldom seen in these grades, must surely be one of the finest grade error Shillings of this period
