Medals Queen's , 3rd type reverse, with 4 clasps, , , and Laing's Nek, aded to 287 Tpr: H. Cullingworth, M.R. EF with some hairlines, comes with copy of entitlement to the medal and a copied account of a demonstration against an enemy-held hill on the Modder Spruit side of known as Tinta 'Nyoni. The force, led by General White consisted of 5th Lancers, 19th Hussars, I.L.H, Natal M.R., 42nd and 53rd Batteries R.G.A., 1st , 1st s, 1st s and 2nd s Rifles, a total of 5300 officers and men. The Force proceed along the Road for about 6 miles, when they came under fire from their left at 0700 hrs. Their action was prompt and at 0800 a discharge of musketry rose and fell among the extended line of troopers, as the infantry had come up to Rietfontein. The were soon shelling the enemy opposition, and one extremely accurate shell burst full upon one of the Boer pieces. The Natal Mounted Rifles. were ordered by Sir George White across from his right and sent in front of his left flank. The riflemen used all of their skills to remove all of the danger and the object accomplished, 114 casualties were suffered. No Natal M.R were killed, and only three wounded including Trooper H. Cullingworth.

Medals Queen's and 's South Africa pair, comprising Queen's South Africa, 2nd type reverse, with traces of the date remaining, with 6 clasps, Relief of , , , Johsburg, and aded to 3617 Cpl. R. s (mis-spelt), 10th Hussars, and King's South Africa with 2 clasps, South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 to 3617 Serjt: R.H. Curtis 10th Hussars, with some light file marks on the edge by the 3617. Both Bright VF with some deeper hairlines causing light depressions in the fields, both medals accompanied by copies of extracts from the respective medal rolls to the 10th Hussars confirming the entitlement to the clasps.

Duncan enlisted 10/10/1940, was sent to with in April 1943, to 22nd Field Regiment, May 1943, to Italy in May 1944, and hospitalised, cause unknown, May 1944, and evacuated to South Africa . He was discharged on 2/1/1947., along with World War I to Welsh Regiments (4) 1914-15 Star awarded to 19532 Pte.W.Roberts 1st Welsh Fusiliers. EF. Pte.Roberts was killed in action in 3/9/1916 and is buried at Thiepval Memorial. Pier and Face 4A, World War I Medals (3) the first awarded to 11085 Pte.G.Jones, South Borderers, NEF. Pte.Jones died of wounds in , Egypt, 5/7/1915 after evacuation from Gallopoli, and is buried at Alexandria (Chatby) and War Memorial Cemetary L.10. the second awarded to 8717 Pte.D.J.Evans, 2nd Welsh Regiment NEF, Pte.Evans was killed in action 4/5/1915 and is buried at Le Toueret Memorial Panels 23 and 24. the third to 9348 Pte.C.Lewis 1st Royal Welsh Fusiliers.GVF. He died of heart failure in , France on 9/12/1914, and is buried at Ploegdteert Memorial Panel 5. (All were entitled to the and Mons clasp)

Medals , Souvenir 1899-1900 in White Metal 'United in the Cause of Freedom' 38mm diameter in white metal, Hern 86, BHM 3673,Obverse:- Two shields inclined tod each other and overlapping. The left shield is quartered with: Star of , , Scale balance – and Beaver – . The right shield has the coat of arms. To the left is a with a rose (), shamrocks () and thistles (). To the right is a laurel branch. Above is the Crown. Two clasped hands across the divide between the shields at the bottom. On a ribbon below: “WE . SERVE . UNDER . ONE . CROWN”. Above the ribbon, and below the hands, stamped: “REGISTERED”. Legend in ornate lettering above: “UNITED IN THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM” and below between stops: “WE DEFEND OUR EMPIRE”. Reverse:- To the left, a sailor with rifle at attention; to the right, a soldier with rifle at the ready. They stand guard over the British Union flag, between them on a flagpole surmounted by a crown. Behind, two artillery pieces facing outwards and in the background, a ship behind the sailor and a tent behind the soldier. Legend in ornate lettering: “SOUVENIR (left) MEDAL 1899 / & 1900 (right)”.
