Afghanistan Medal, Second Afghan War, in silver, with 2 clasps, Kandahar and Ahmed Khel, awarded to 1828 Cpl. J. Denton 2/60th Foot, GVF, the obverse with some light scratches in the fields, comes with copied papers of Depot Battalions Pay List, Statements of Pay and Allowances of Recruits, and a list of Men of the 2nd Battalion 60th Rifles who have died, been killed, made Prisoners of War or deserted. This lists the death of Joseph Denton, who had been promoted to Lance Sergeant on 22nd Feb 1881, and is listed as having died on 20th April 1881, at Newcastle (Natal) soon after peace was signed. Also comes with typed history of his Military career in India, Afghanistan and South Africa.
Queen's South Africa Medal, 2nd type reverse, with traces of the date remaining, with 7 clasps, Cape Colony, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith, Transvaal, Laing's Nek, Orange Free State and South Africa 1901, named in sloping serif upper and lower case style, awarded to 1771 Pte. G. Sibley. Rifle Bde. VF, the obverse cleaned, with some surface marks. Come with photocopied enlistment papers, Statement of Service, Military History Sheet, Discharge Papers, copies of the Medal Rolls confirming entitlement to the medal clasps, and a copy his Death certificate showing he died at age 68 on 24/10/1938
Queen's South Africa/World War I group of three, comprising Queen's South Africa, 2nd reverse, with traces of the date remaining, with 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Belfast, GVF hairlined in the fields, awarded to 73814 Gnr. I. Clayton 20th Battalion R.F.A, and World War I pair, 1914-1918 War Medal and Victory Medal (to 96368 Gnr. I. Clayton R.A.) GVF to NEF. Accompanying photocopied papers show that he joined Lincolnshire Regiment on April 4th 1899, also comes with Military History Sheet, Statement of the Services, Court Marshal Sheet, and Discharge Papers showing he served 16 Years 364 days combined service.

Ellmann's enlistment, previous service with the 21st Middlesex Rifle Volunteers, Military History Sheet, and copies of the extracts of the Medal Rolls showing entitlement to the Cape Colony and Orange Free State clasps

World War II a group of five , War Medal, Africa Star, 1939-45 Star, Italy Star, and Africa Service Medal awarded to 8068 Bombr.J.H.Duncan, South African Artillery, EF. Bombr. Duncan enlisted 10/10/1940, was sent to Egypt with PretoriaRegiment in April 1943, to 22nd Field Regiment, May 1943, to Italy in May 1944, and hospitalised, cause unknown, May 1944, and evacuated to South Africa . He was discharged on 2/1/1947., along with World War I to Welsh Regiments (4) 1914-15 Star awarded to 19532 Pte.W.Roberts 1st Royal Welsh Fusiliers. EF. Pte.Roberts was killed in action in France 3/9/1916 and is buried at Thiepval Memorial. Pier and Face 4A, World War I Medals (3) the first awarded to 11085 Pte.G.Jones, South Wales Borderers, NEF. Pte.Jones died of wounds in Alexandria, Egypt, 5/7/1915 after evacuation from Gallopoli, and is buried at Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetary L.10. the second awarded to 8717 Pte.D.J.Evans, 2nd Welsh Regiment NEF, Pte.Evans was killed in action 4/5/1915 and is buried at Le Toueret Memorial Panels 23 and 24. the third to 9348 Pte.C.Lewis 1st Royal Welsh Fusiliers.GVF. He died of heart failure in Calais, France on 9/12/1914, and is buried at Ploegdteert Memorial Panel 5. (All were entitled to the 1914 star and Mons clasp)
