Farthing 1847 with Inverted 1 over normal 1 in date giving the appearance of a Roman 1, this in similar style to the similar Sovereign variety of this date (See Bentley sale Lot 408), Reverse B (no flaw by Britannia's arm) B of BRIT has no serifs top or bottom, date spacing 8 3/4 teeth, the date spacing as LCGS Variety 06. EF/NEF and presumably very rare, our archive database stretching back to 2003 confirms we have not previously offered this type. The second bundle falls in the range of 004D4427435 to 004D4427483, this range with a bigger gap, and 004D4491701 to 004D4491799. Each note in blue-violet, dark-green and olive brown on multicolour underprint featuring Mihai Eminescu generally regarded as Romania's most famous and influential poet, lily flower and quill pen at centre and bank monogram at centre top on obverse and the reverse featuring illustrations of lime and blue flowers at left centre and the ruins of ancient fort of Histria.
