Mint Errors - Mis-Strikes (4) Shilling 1839 a spectacular double strike with a section of another similar coin overstruck between 12 and 3 o'clock on the reverse, the additional piece being 12mm across, and extending beyond the rim of the original coin, showing part profile of the Young Head. GVF and holed at the top. DecimalTen Pence 1973 struck off centre on a 29mm diameter flan with around 3mm blank flan excess around the edge in parts. The additional excess also having a straight cut top edge which does not obstruct the edge of the coin, UNC and lustrous with some odd scuffs, these probably occurring at the time of minting. Decimal Ten Pence undated Large size a spectacular off-centre strike with just 11mm of the coin visible on the 28mm diameter flan, unusually some edge milling remains, this being on the part of the coin that shows part of the Lion, in an area that would normally be in the centre of the coin, GVF and highly unusual. Decimal Two Pence 1971 with a large planchet clip from 8 o'clock to 11 o'clock on the obverse, thus only the R of REG remains and the last 1 and lower tip of the 7 of the date NEF/EF with some scratches, and retaining some mint lustre

Queen Elizabeth II at right on obverse and the reverse illustrating the view of Mont Orgueil Castle ('Mount Pride' or 'Haughty Mount') also known as Gorey Castle by English speakers which construction was undertaken following the division of Duchy of Normandy in 1204 and it was first mentioned in 1212. The castle was the primary defence of Jersey until the development of gunpowder which then rendered the castle ultimately indefensible from Mont Saint Nicholas, the adjacent hill which overlooks the castle. IraqERRORS 250 dinars Saddam Hussein Abd al-Madjid al-Tikriti on obverse and Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem similar to Pick 88 (7) without serial numbers and all misscut and with missaligned underprint and overprint. One of the notes completely missing the reverse overprint and all with slightly different color shades of the overprint/underprint. Paper still with security thread and watermark. Possibly printing waste or Printer's trial notes. Scarce and all about UNC - UNC
Crown 1935 Raised Edge Proof with error edge with the lettering in the wrong order. Edge reads: DECUS ANNO REGNI ET TUTAMEN XXV, ESC 380, Bull 3657, UNC retaining much original mint lustre, lightly toning in the legends, a few thin scratches on the obverse evident under magnification and the reverse with a few small spots, an extremely rare error and rated R5 by ESC (Estimated 5-10 examples believed to exist), thus rarer than the gold Proof of this date (25 examples issued) which, when offered, fetches £60,000 - £80,000. Our archive database shows that this is the first example we have offered in 15 years.
