Five Pounds PeppiattWhite note B241b BRISTOL branch issue dated 1st April 1935 serial number T/179 44540, a presentable and well-preserved VF with a minor inked signature at lower right reverse and an Exceptionally Rare note . In fact we have only offered 1 example in December 2019 in good Fine again with a small inked annotation that realised £2000. Also historically this is an example of the last ever branch issued notes as at the outbreak of World War II all branches ceased issuing notes. Issuing became centralized in the main office in London and the branches only served as distribution centres.
