USA World War II Escape and Evasion Kit "Barter Kit" containing GB Sovereign 1927 SA, Half Sovereign 1873 and 1902, France 20 Francs 1907 and 10 Francs 1857 mixed grades along with 3 x 9 carat gold rings. These sets were issued to US pilots and paratroopers to barter their way out of difficult situations that they may have found themselves in behind enemy lines during World War II. This original black case (now opened) has "IF FOUND RETURN TO COMNAVAIRLANT (CNAL 34) NORFOLK VIRGINIA" on the front.
